Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, has finally broken her silence regarding the ongoing feud with her former manager, Mr. Ezekiel. In an emotional statement, the “Excess Love” crooner revealed shocking details about their fallout and the lengths he allegedly went to tarnish her reputation.
Mercy Chinwo disclosed that Mr. Ezekiel once told her, “I made you who you are and I will destroy you.” This, she said, left her in fear for her life, prompting her to relocate from Lagos to Port Harcourt. According to her, Mr. Ezekiel initiated legal action against her but misled the public into believing she was the one who took him to court.
She also accused him of seizing her royalties for two years and being angered by her collaboration with fellow gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey, allegedly due to personal animosity towards him. Mercy claimed he even went as far as sponsoring fake news about her son to harm her image.
“You told me you had connections and you would deal with me. You are not God, and you can’t destroy me,” she said, addressing her former manager directly. “You have bloggers, but I have God.”
Mercy Chinwo’s revelations have sparked widespread discussions online, with fans expressing their support for the gospel icon.
