Portable, a controversial singer, is described by attorney Inibehe Effiong as a nightmare client for any law professional to deal with.

This occurs in the middle of the singer’s dispute with the Ogun State Police over his refusal to submit to arrest during an incident that went viral.

Effiong claimed in a Facebook post that Portable is the kind of client who might behave and speak in ways that aren’t in line with a lawyer’s legal strategy.

“When it comes to having problematic, difficult and deviant clients, Portable is every lawyer’s nightmare. He is the type of client that will be doing things and making comments that are counter productive to a lawyer’s strategy.” he wrote.

After his altercation with the OGUN state police, Nigerian street singer Portable appears to have put himself in more difficulty.

The operatives informed Portable that a petition had been filed against him as he became agitated and demanded an explanation for the officers’ presence in the footage released on Tuesday.

In response to the widely circulated video of Portable cursing at police officers, the CSO of the Nigerian Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated that he was likely to suffer persecution.

Speaking to Linda Ikeji blog, the police command claimed that the controversial singer had been sent multiple invitations but had refused them, leading to his arrest. However, the singer resisted and caused a commotion at his bar.

The police claimed that the artist behaved irrationally and insulted police officers who were performing their official duties.

He asserts that the behaviour is unlawful and subject to punishment under Nigerian criminal law.
