Nollywood actress, Dorcas Shola-Fapson, has opened up on why she grew up hating her mother.
During a recent interview on “Tea with Taymesan” Podcast, she revealed that her parents moved to the UK when they just got married but didn’t have the required immigration papers.
According to Dorcas Shola-Fapson, when she was two-years-old, her mother was deported back to Nigeria for not having immigration papers but her dad managed to sort himself out.
Explaining the reason behind her short-lived hatred for her mum, Dorcas disclosed that her dad claimed her mother abandoned her in the UK because she doesn’t love her.
This made her grow up hating her mother because she believed she never loved her. However, she stated that now that she is older, she understands her family’s predicament better.
When asked why her dad lied about why her mum left them in the UK, Dorcas said it was because “he was hurt”.
