Former Mavin Records signee and Calm Down crooner, Rema, drew the attention of his fans that he has a striking resemblance with singer Seyi Vibe, after a video of him went viral.
The Afrobeats sensation, was seen in a blue jean outfit, attending the interview questions thrown at him during the ASCAP London Music Award, which held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024, where the singer won two awards. The awards Rema won included; the UK-affiliated awardees of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers’ (ASCAP’s) most prestigious honours.
The video of Rema seen in the light blue outfit sparked reactions on social media platform, saying he looks like his colleague; Seyi Vibe.
Someone stated that Rema had lost alot of weight, while another stated that he has taken alot of smokes in his system, simply put ‘on colos’.

Still in the news, ‘Calm Down’, a global hit by Nigerian music sensation, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema has won some trophies at the 2024 ASCAP London Music Awards.
While the Afrobeats powerhouse was dazzling at the Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Spring-Summer Show during Fashion Week in Paris on Tuesday, ‘Calm Down’ snagged the coveted Song of the Year and Top Streaming Song awards.
The song’s co-writers and co-producers, Michael Hunter popularly known as London, and Andre Vibez were also credited as winners.
The wins bring Rema’s American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, ASCAP’s awards tally to three; the most by a Nigerian/African artiste.
Rema is the most awarded African artist in 2024, with six awards won so far.
He has won 1 Trends Awards in Brazil, 1 iHeartRadio Music award, 1 ASCAP Pop Music award and 2 ASCAP London Music awards.
