During the conversation, the actress was overcome with emotion while discussing her heartbreaking experience of seeing her father’s ’empty shell’ after visiting the morgue and not knowing what to do.

“My world crumbled when my dad passed. The next day I drove into Benin. I went to see him at the Morgue. Have you ever seen a dead body? You just know that they are no more there. It’s a shell. We all like to look good, at the end of the day this body is a shell. I saw my dad, I saw my mom and you just know the person you know and love is gone.

They call my dad mobility that’s like his nickname. I said ‘Mobility how could you do this to me’? I just kept thinking what am I going to do? How am I ever going to get back from this?” she said.

The mother of three also underlined the importance of forgiving one another, regardless of the situation.

She said,

“There is almost nothing that someone will do that you won’t forgive if you want to. If you decide you don’t want to forgive, that’s different. But if you want to forgive, there is nothing that someone will do to you that you won’t forgive. We all have to realize first of all that we are all sinners.

“We are all completely flawed. Nobody is perfect so don’t look for perfection in the next person because you are not even perfect yourself. So we decided very earlier on in the marriage, actually before, that divorce is not an option. So no matter what happens, we are in this forever”.
