“My Guardian & Mentor Is Gone”- Actress Ebele Okaro Announces The De@th Of Her Mum

Nollywood actress, Ebele Okaro, has announced the demise of her mother.

The actress shared a picture of her mother on her Instagram page on Saturday.

She wrote, “My beautiful mother, mentor, twin sister and guardian is gone. May her gentle, beautiful soul rest in peace.”

Ebele Okaro recently celebrated her 58th birthday.

On her Instagram page, Ebele Okaro wrote:

“I know who I am…A Child of Grace. I stand Tall, I stand Strong, I stand Evergreen, I stand Favoured, I stand Happy, I stand Blessed, I stand Healthy, I stand Joyful, I stand Gracious, I stand Wise, I stand Content, I stand as a Child of God…What can I say but Thank you Lord for Giving me another year of Life, Hope, Love and another Chance to Love you better.”

After graduation from university, Okaro served her National Youth Service at the Nigerian Television Authority, where she made some television appearances.

However, after the Youth Service, she worked with an embassy in Lagos and later in a bank before returning to acting in the Nigerian movie industry (known as Nollywood).

In 2014, Okaro produced and acted in Musical Whispers, a movie that advocates for loving care for children with autism. It features other prominent Nigerian actors, most notably Chioma Chukwuka and Kalu Ikeagwu.

She has become known as the “Mama of Nollywood” and has earned the respect of both fans and colleagues.

She married into the Onyiuke family.
