Omowunmi, the wife of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has made shocking revelations about the circumstances surrounding her husband’s death. In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, she accused her father-in-law of siding with Naira Marley and Sam Larry, whom she believes made life unbearable for Mohbad.
Speaking about Mohbad’s final moments, Omowunmi stated, “I know that there was a nurse involved in my husband’s demise and that he reacted to an injection. On the night that he d!ed, my father-in-law came to our house, and the nurse narrated what happened to him. My husband’s manager wanted to get the nurse arrested that night, but my father-in-law said they should let her go.”
She also revealed that she was not informed about her husband’s burial arrangements. “The following day, it was online that I knew they wanted to bury Moh. I was not informed. When I got there, they wanted to k!dnap Liam from me, we had to wrap him in a plastic bag,” she said, describing the distressing moment.
Expressing her frustration over the inconclusive autopsy report, she added, “It is so sad to hear that his autopsy was inconclusive just because my father-in-law rushed to bury him. I know he had an injury from the fight he had with Primeboy. I can’t accept the inconclusive result because Liam will grow up to ask me questions.”
Omowunmi also called out Naira Marley and Sam Larry, insisting that they cannot deny their alleged involvement in Mohbad’s struggles. “The videos online cannot be erased, and Liam will grow up to see them. I pray he doesn’t grow up to be traumatized because he will see how his dad was beten. Even me, it breaks me, but at this point, I am fighting for my life and my son’s life.”
She accused Mohbad’s father of supporting Naira Marley instead of seeking true justice for his son. “Mohbad’s Dad has been on Naira Marley’s side. He is speaking for them and trying to save them. Up till now, justice for Mohbad has not been gotten, and the justice Mohbad’s Dad is looking for is different from the justice the public is looking for.”
Her emotional revelations have reignited calls for justice for the late singer, with many fans questioning the role of Mohbad’s father in the ongoing case.
