Nigerian musician singer and the youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti ; Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti, popularly known as Seun Kuti, has taken to his social media to say that Nigerian artistes cannot win Grammys with Amapiano musicals over the South African Artistes, whereas, the latter country were in fact, the originators of the genre.
Furthermore, Seun acknowledged the Grammys band for playing the popular track of his late father ‘ Water no get enemy’ as Tyla walked out to get her award. Although, It should be of note that this was an error done by the band.
He wrote; ” Nigerians sha, una wan use South African Amapiano to defeat South African Artiste at Grammys? I could have told u it won’t happen for free, but I loved the tune the band played for the winner sha ”
