Popular skit maker Gloria Oloruntobi, better known as Maraji, has come to the defense of Annie Idibia, wife of legendary Nigerian musician 2Baba. Annie recently faced harsh criticism following her appearance on a reality show, with some accusing her of being “on drugs” and speaking carelessly.
In response to the backlash, Maraji took to social media, stating, “You might not like the way she talks, but which one is, she is on drugs 🤷🏽♀️. The same thing you are dragging her for is what you are doing; talking carelessly. She wasn’t her best on the show, but it’s not enough to crucify her abeg.”
Fans have since praised Maraji for her boldness in addressing the issue, with many agreeing that the attacks on Annie were unnecessarily harsh. Annie Idibia is yet to respond to the backlash directly.
