Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Ezeonu has expressed her disappointment over the indecent dressing of some young girls who attended her recent audition.
In a viral video circulating online, the iconic actress chastised a group of girls who showed up wearing crop tops without bras, exposing their stomachs and backs. They also wore tight leggings that left little to the imagination.
Speaking in the video, Ngozi Ezeonu noted that such dressing is highly inappropriate and reflects poorly on the acting profession. “It is very wrong. How can you come to an audition venue without a bra under your crop top? It is because of people like you that actors are condemned,” she said.
The actress, known for her elegant and modest style, added that even in her youth, she never dressed indecently. She emphasized the importance of maintaining dignity and professionalism, especially when pursuing a career in the film industry.
Ngozi also issued a stern warning, stating that she would disqualify anyone who dresses in such a manner at her future auditions. “Next time, I won’t even allow such people to audition,” she revealed.
Her remarks have sparked a mixed reaction on social media, with some praising her for promoting decency and others arguing that personal style should not determine one’s talent or chances in the industry.
Ngozi Ezeonu, a respected figure in Nollywood, has been a role model for many aspiring actors, and her call for decorum serves as a reminder of the values she holds dear in the profession.
