Gunmen in Plateau reportedly kidnap bride at a pastor’s house hours to her wedding.
Farmat Paul, a bride, was abducted a few hours before her wedding in Bokkos local government area of Plateau State on Monday
Farmat and her groom, Zaphaniah Kosom, were said to have sent out invitation cards for their wedding ceremony, which was supposed to take place at a church in the Ngyong community of the local government before she vanished.

The bride was allegedly kidnapped from her pastor’s home, where she had gone to spend the night before her wedding, as it’s a practice of the church.
According to a source close to the church, the gunmen entered the pastor’s residence around 10:45 p.m., abducting only the bride and leaving the pastor and his family unharmed.
The perpetrators spoke in Fulani throughout the ten-minute operation, according to the source, who also stated that the event was reported to the local government’s Divisional Police Headquarters.
All plans and preparations for the wedding, which was supposed to take place today (Monday), have been put on hold, according to him, because the groom has gone into seclusion.
