Funke Akindele Finally Breaks Silence On Losing The Election(DETAILS)

Funke Akindele, who is also a popular Nollywood actress, ran alongside the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Abdul-Azeez Olajide AKA Jandor, in the recently concluded Lagos State elections. Despite putting in a lot of effort and resources into the campaign, their ticket lost to the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress.

In a statement released by her, the actress expressed gratitude to her supporters and urged them to remain committed to the ideals of the PDP. She also stated that she doesn’t regret running for office and that her experience on the campaign trail has been a learning opportunity.

“I want to thank everyone who supported us during the campaign. We gave it our all, and while we may not have won the election, we succeeded in bringing important issues to the forefront of public discourse. I want to urge all our supporters to remain committed to the ideals of the PDP and continue to work towards building a better Lagos for all,” she said.

She also stated that her experience on the campaign trail has taught her a lot and that she intends to use that knowledge to continue to contribute to the development of the country.

 

“I don’t regret running for office. It was an opportunity to serve my people and contribute to the development of Lagos State. The experience has taught me a lot, and I intend to use that knowledge to continue to make a positive impact in my community and the country as a whole,” she added.

 

Funke Akindele’s decision to run for office was met with mixed reactions from the public, with some criticizing her lack of political experience. However, her supporters believe that her popularity and influence could have helped to galvanize support for the PDP in the election
