Atalanta are actively exploring managerial options as Gian Piero Gasperini’s tenure at the club nears it end.
After nearly nine years in charge, Gasperini recently hinted at the possibility of leaving at the season’s close, prompting the club to consider potential successors.
According to reports from Calciomercato.com, Maurizio Sarri is among the frontrunners for the role.
The former Napoli, Juventus, and Lazio coach, known for his attacking, possession-based style, could be a strong fit for Atalanta’s own high-octane football philosophy.
Sarri, who is currently without a club after his departure from Lazio, may be interested in returning to Serie A.
Another candidate garnering attention is Raffaele Palladino, who has impressed at Monza and Fiorentina with his ability to develop young talent and implement a modern, structured style.
Palladino, 40, is seen as a potential successor to Gasperini, whom he admires and once played under at Genoa.
In addition, Atalanta are considering Olympique Marseille’s Roberto De Zerbi, renowned for his offensive football.
Other notable candidates include Ivan Juric, Igor Tudor, and Ralf Rangnick, with the latter being viewed as a strong choice by the club’s owners to help globalize Atalanta’s brand.
