Sea Pirates kidnap NSCDC operative, 4 others; demand N25m ransom
An operative of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and four civilians were kidnapped last Wednesday by criminal gangs suspected to be sea pirates.
The five victims were attached to a kitchen contractor working with the ConOil Plc outstation in Koluama 1, Southern Ijaw Local Government area of Bayelsa State.

They were on their way to the outstation with materials for the kitchen contractor when the five of them were kidnapped.
An indigene of Igarra, Edo State, simply identified as Kalifa, was the abducted NSCDC operative.
According to the Nigerian Tribune, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of N25 million before the abductees are freed.
